Oyo Decides: Makinde wins in Adelabu’s local govt

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Seyi Makinde, won in the Ibadan South-East Local Government, where his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, hails from.

PDP polled 24,556 votes to beat APC to a distant second of 13,277 votes.

The result was declared by the Collation Officer for the local government, Dr Abiodun Olapade, on Sunday at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s office in Ibadan.

Elections results were cancelled in Ward 9, Unit 05; Ward 11, Unit 019; Ward 9, Unit 05, Ward 10, Unit 02 and Ward 2 Unit 02 due to disruption of voting and over-voting.
