Osun PDP Primary: Dancing Senator ,Ademola Adeleke Wins Osun PDP Governorship Primary

Senator Ademola Adeleke has been declared the winner of the Osun Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primary, ahead of the Sept. 22 election in the state.

Senator Ademola Adeleke has emerged the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the September 22 governorship election in the south-western state.

He is currently the Senator representing Osun West senatorial district since 10 July 2017 election.

In the primary which held today, he polled 7 more votes than his closest rival Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi

Senator Adeleke polled 1,569 votes, while the closest rival Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi polled 1,562 votes, Fatai Akingbade scored 52 votes and Nathaniel Oke scored 3 votes.

Adeleke was born in Enugu (a city which he spent his early years), to the family of senator Ayoola Adeleke and Esther Adeleke.

Senator Ademola Adeleke started his primary education at Methodist Primary School, Surulere Lagos before he switched to Old Oyo State and attended Nawarudeen Primary School, Ikire.

He progressed to The Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School, Ede also in the then Old Oyo State and later moved to Muslim Grammar School Ede, where he was the Senior Prefect and discharged his duties perfectly as a Leader of fellow students.

Adeleke left Nigeria to study Criminology at Jacksonville State University, Alabama in the United State of America.

He fully went into politics when he ran for the post of Senator in the Osun West Senatorial District, he ran for the post in a bid to replace his brother Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke who died in April 2017.

He was subsequently elected as Senator of the Osun West Senatorial district to replace his Late brother, in the July 2017, bye-election.
