Ekiti Guber Poll: Tight Security In Ikere Over Fayemi To Arrive PDP Governorship Candidate Home Town

There was heavy security beef up in Ikere-Ekiti on Friday morning as the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, for July 14th governorship election, Dr. Kayode Fayemi is expected to arrive the town.

Newsflash247 correspondent who went round the town as reported that, soldiers and Police patrol vehicle was the station in some strategetic places.

At Odo-Oja area of the town, police armoured tank was the station with stern looking security.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Fayemi Campaign Office and signed by Mr. Wole Olujobi, Fayemi will be received at the Akure Airport at 12 noon today by party leaders for the onward journey to Ekiti.

Fayemi would be also received by Ekiti people in Ikere-Ekiti where he would make brief stops to address the people.

The ex-governor will also stop at the party secretariat in Ajilosun, Ado-Ekiti and other designated places in the state capital to address the people before travelling to Isan-Ekiti for a reception that will herald the commencement of his campaign.
