VIDEO: Police rescue Tinubu Bishop from the mob at Abuja Market

Nigeria Police Force has rescued one of Tinubu’s controversial Bishops out of Dei Dei International Building Materials Market Abuja.

Recall that some bishops alleged fake clerics had appeared at the event of the unveiling of former Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima as the Vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The fake bishops had appeared at the event to create an impression that nation-building was a greater focus than religious beliefs

But on viral video circulated on social media showed how the Police escorts one of Tinubu’s controversial Bishops out of Dei Dei International Building Materials Market Abuja.

He was spotted by the Traders and almost Lynched if not the timely intervention of the Nigeria police force.

He was mobbed at Dei Dei Market Abuja over alleged involvement in the impersonation of bishops during Shettima’s unveiling.

Bishop

The hired fake Bishop went to engage in plumbing repairs for someone at the market not knowing that people will recognise him. They nearly killed him, but the police saved him.

A video below showed a man whose facial features matched one of the fake bishops paraded at the popular Dei-dei market Saturday afternoon.

The man identified as “Rev Chika” is said to be a plumber, and an indigene of Agulu in Anambra, according to the account of Facebook user Sunday Wale Adeniran.

“Today at Dei-Dei building materials market in Abuja, this clergyman was molested and beaten when they identified him as one of the clergymen who attended the unveiling of Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate.

His name is Rev Chika. He hails from Agulu in Anambra state,” Mr Adeniran wrote on his wall.

“Bishop! Fake bishop! That’s one of the bishops Tinubu used,” some of the people that paraded Mr Chika, who walked with his head hanging low showed in the video above.

While some commenters condemned the parade, arguing the traders should not have harassed him, others said Mr Chika deserved the harsh treatment for making a mockery of the Christian faith.

Witnesses said Mr Chika was rescued by a police team on patrol in the area. A spokesman for the police in Abuja did not immediately have information about whether suspects were arrested after the hoodlums were dispersed.
