VIDEO: Deputy Governor Fetch water to fight fire in school

The Kaduna State deputy governor, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, had reportedly decided to fight a fire herself in one government school in the state.

There was recently a fire incident at the Government Girls Secondary School in Kawo, Kaduna state.

She fetches water herself, trying to put out the fire before the arrival of the fire brigade. The fire burned down two hostels

Balarabe, who was present at the school, was captured on camera attempting to help.

In the video, she was seen rushing to the scene of the fire with a bucket of water in her hand, surrounded by her security aides who remained focused on protecting her and keeping people at bay, amidst the chaos of the fire.

A user shared the video, hailing the deputy governor for her efforts.

However, it appears not many people shared in his sentiments. The video which has since gone viral online, left many people amused and even many more, angry at what they described as a display of stupidity.

See the Nigerians reaction of the incident on Twitter:

@Nwene, “This is madness or stupidity. Maybe both. It’d have been more efficient if all the people guarding her tried to put off the fire themselves but then, anything for the camera

@Henry Shield, 2 days ago, it was a painted intersection, and now this? The Deputy Governor is being praised for using almost 10 security men to escort a bucket of water to quench a raging fire.
It’s obvious; Someone is boiling stupidity for people in Kaduna to eat.

@Citizen Stephen, My brother, please pray for us, our dear Kaduna state has been reduced to a theatre of power point presentation and beautiful 3D images government.
You only see governance on Twitter but come to Kaduna and you won’t see anything.
Millions are spent on propaganda daily here.

@Sudan of Abuja, “Well script, when a we having part two, is shameful how politicians taking us for granted, she’s not even ashamed that no provision for a fire fighter within reach”.

@That Hun, “She carried a bucket to put out fire her security didn’t drop their to do so but they calmly followed her. She then to sack her script writer”

@Hebe, “Those 10 people following her, are they handicapped? Why can’t they assist her? What level of fuckery is this?

@Gbemi Ola, “D stupidity in this country though. You want to laugh, you want to cry, and you want to be able to say to folks “receive sense”. Very bad state mentally
“simply put, you would think everyone, including the cameraman, would be holding a bucket of water. But again that happens in a saner society”.
