Ekiti mourns as Ex-lawmaker dies at 50, three days after birthday

The people of Ikere Ekiti, the second largest city of Ekiti State after the State capital, Ado Ekiti, mourned over the death of one of the giant soldiers in Ekiti politics, Yomi Daramola, who died at a tender age.

Daramola, a former member of the House of Assembly during the first administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi, died on Tuesday night at his country home, Ikere Ekiti.

Newsflash247 gathered that Hon Daramola did appendix surgery sometimes ago, but the thing later loosed back.

Source said, Daramola was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday morning after the appendix loosed but unfortunately was confirmed dead in the evening.

He died three days after he clocked 50 years old. The youth of the town was shocked about the incident.

A former House of Representatives candidate of the town, Abiodun Adetimehin said “God will visit the land of Ikere and restore His peace in Jesus name. “The occurring deaths of the young promising men in the last few years in our land are alarming.

“All of them really touching and painful but this one is burning souls.

“What a great loss!

“Egbon, the Lord will console all of us and make your eternal rest peaceful.

“I love you till death!

He represented Ikere Constituency 1 in the House of Assembly between 2011 and 2015 under the platform of the defunct the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) now All Progresssives Congress(APC).

According to his profile on his Facebook handle, Daramola was born on December 2, 1971.
