Buhari’s Impeachment: APC threatens to ‘expose’ Father Mbaka

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has threatened to expose the Catholic Priest and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Father Ejike Mbaka over playing politics with his vision about the country.

Newsflash Nigheria had reported how Mbaka called for President Muhammadu Buhari to be impeached due to the increase in security challenges in Nigeria.

Speaking at the Adoration Ministry in Enugu on Thursday, Mbaka noted that President Buhari has failed the country woefully, hence he should resign now.

Mbaka wondered why Buhari has remained silent despite the incessant killings in the country. The fiery cleric said God is angry with the president.

He had said; “I know people will say, Mbaka did you not pray for Buhari, did Samuel not anoint Saul? What are you talking about? Am I the creator of Buhari? God created him, Nigerians trusted him because he has done well some time ago but now, how can people just be dying?

“God will ask Nigerians: Nigerians why are you crying? We are crying because our leaders have failed us woefully. If it is in a civilised country, by now, President Buhari will resign. Quote me anywhere and let the whole world hear it. By now, with what is happening, President Buhari should honourably resign.

“We are crying because we don’t have a shepherd. All those that will fight what I am saying now will eventually suffer the rot. If you can’t do it, either you resign or you be changed. A good coach cannot watch his team defeated when he has players sitting watching on the bench. Either Buhari resigns by himself or he will be impeached.”

Speaking with reporters on Friday, APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, said Mbaka does not understand the meaning of spiritual warfare, hence his involvement in politics.

The party cautioned the cleric against making statements that could cause instability in the country, threatening to expose him to the Pope.

“He should be careful. He should stop playing politics with his vision about Nigeria, if not, he will be exposed.

“Mbaka has entered too deep into politics. He does not understand the meaning of spiritual warfare that is why he is saying those things.

“After seeing the vision he should pray for Nigeria and not condemn it. He should fast and pray for Nigeria and not involved in politics,” he said.

Nabena said it was unfortunate for a man of God “who is supposed to deploy all known spiritual means of averting crisis but rather threatening a democratically elected government for his own personal benefits while pretending to be speaking for the people.”

While making reference to the book of Mark 4: 35-40 where Jesus Christ calmed the storm when a wild storm came up and the waves crashed over the boat, Nabena said Jesus did not blame anyone but prayed and calmed the storm.

“One would wonder who Father Mbaka is emulating because the Lord Jesus Christ did not threaten to bring down the government during his own time, in fact, Jesus Christ obeyed and honoured constituted authority. That’s why he paid his tax.

“We are calling on Father Mbaka to concentrate on his spiritual calling and stop speaking like politicians who it is obvious he (Mbaka) has been dining and wining with.

“If Mbaka has found another political ally, it is better to leave a political message for politicians.

“Calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to either resign or be impeached because of the current challenges is ungodly. Father Mbaka should not, however, take his luck too far because there is a lot to tell the Vatican and the Pope about his person and his sources of inspiration”, Nabena said.

The APC chieftain also called on other clerics to “emulate the likes of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG and Pastor WF Kumuyi of the Deeper Life Bible Ministry and many other true men of God who will rather fast and pray to avert a crisis in the country instead of threatening the government of the day”.
