Tinubu visits scene of Owo attack; donates N50m to victims, N25m to church

The Presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu on Monday visited Owo in Ondo State where scores of Catholic church worshippers were killed by gunmen.

The former Lagos State governor donated a hefty sum of N75 million to victims of a deadly attack on a Catholic church.

Tinubu, in the company of Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, paid a visit to the scene and commiserated with the families of the deceased.

He gave N50 million to aid the treatment of the victims.

He also donated N25 million to the Catholic Church where the incident happened.

Recall that armed men yet-to-be-identified had on Sunday, invaded the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, and opened fire on worshipers.

Scores of the victims who were injured in the attack are currently receiving treatment in hospitals.
