Sokoto Appoints Dasuki’s Son, 25 Others As Commissioners

The Sokoto State House of Assembly has confirmed 26 nominees presented to it by Governor Aminu Tambuwal as commissioners.

Among the fresh names on the list are Sagir, the eldest son of former Governor Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa; Abdulsamad Dasuki who is the son of late Sultan of Sokoto and member of the 8th National Assembly.

Also on the list were the outgoing Speaker of Sokoto State House of Assembly, Salihu Maidaji and the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Bashir Garba, as well as many other people who served as commissioners during Tambuwal’s first term.

Tambuwal had in the letter to the assembly said the persons so recommended for the appointments were of proven integrity and dedication who have served the state and nation in various capacities.
