BREAKING: Nasarawa Governor meets Buhari over Sanusi’s banishment

In the early hours of Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari had a closed-door meeting with the Nasarawa Governor, Abdullahi Sule, at State House, Abuja.

Recall that Nassarawa is the state to which the dethroned former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, was banished on Monday by Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

The meeting held briefly before the President entered the Executive Council Chambers for the week’s Federal Execute Council (FEC) meeting.

The reason for the meeting could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

But State House sources suggested that the governor might have visited to brief Buhari on the security situation in his state.

Nasarawa State is one of the states bordering the seat of the federal government; the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
