How a UNICAL Student Forgot Her Expo in Her Answer Booklet and Got Exposed by Her Lecturer
A female student of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) in Cross River State may be in trouble after she mistakenly submitted her cheating material (expo) along with her answer booklet.
A lecturer at the institution, Sir Bonja, has shared the expo he found in the student’s sheet and expressed his displeasure.
Sir Bonja found the expo while marking the student’s sheet and shared it on his WhatsApp status, Calabargist reports.
The expo was a piece of paper with some answers written on it. The lecturer said that the student forgot to remove her reminder before submitting her booklet.
He said that the incident was a case of village people following the student to the exam hall. He said that he condemned the act and that he would fish out the student. He also said that he appreciated the understanding and patience of Nigerians as he worked to improve his service delivery.
The sheet of the expo and the lecturer’s status was shared by a Twitter user, @Calabargist, who reported the incident to the public. He wrote:

The tweet has since gone viral and attracted mixed reactions from Nigerians. Some people found it funny and hilarious, while others criticized the student for cheating and wasting parent resources.
This is not the first time that a UNICAL student has been caught cheating in an exam. In 2019, a 200-level student of Public Administration was arrested for using her phone to write an exam. She was caught by an invigilator who confiscated her phone and reported her to the authorities.

Many students resort to using various methods and materials to cheat, such as phones, calculators, papers, books, earpieces, etc. Some students also pay others to write exams for them or bribe lecturers to pass them.
