Photos: Confusion as man found hanging with legs touching the ground from mango tree in Ekiti

A middle-aged man, identified as Tunde Akindunbi, has been found dead under a mango tree in the Dallimore area of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

It was gathered that the incident happened in the middle of the night on Friday.

Although the cause of his death has not been ascertained as of the time of this report, neighbours said he was still seen at 8 pm on Friday.

Newsflash Nigeria learnt that the deceased was found hanging with legs touching the ground from the mango tree.

Neighbours said the deceased was found in a position that suggests he committed suicide but others claimed the position was suspicious.

They are alleging that he may have been killed and hung to avoid any traces.

When contacted, the spokesman for Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu said the investigation has commenced into the matter.

He said two persons have been invited for questioning to assist the command with necessary information.
