Obasanjo @ 83: Guests undergo Coronavirus screening to attend birthday

The individual’s guest entering the event hall to attend the 83rd birthday of the Former Nigeria’s President, Olusegun Obasanjo has been screened one after the other for any signs of fever before access into the event.

This is in an attempt to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, following the outbreak of the disease in Nigeria

The event, held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, had in attendance, dignitaries from all walks of life.

However, individuals entering the event hall were screened one after the other, with a thermometer, by health practitioners, at the point of entry.

After being certified free of any suspicious ailments, guests are given hand sanitizer as they join other well-wishers.

Meanwhile, Nigerian’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has congratulated the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo as he will clocks 83 years today, on March 5, 2020.

In a commendation letter released on Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, describing him as “a life of courage, dedication and service to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity in general.

“President Buhari joins family members, friends and associates of the former president in celebrating the milestone, adding that Chief Obasanjo’s commitment to Nigerian nationhood remains outstanding and commendable, while also underscoring his sacrifices for the continent, including standing up for democracy in many countries.

“As the former president celebrates the auspicious occasion, President Buhari prays that the almighty God will grant him longer life, good health and strength to keep serving the nation and the continent”.
