VIDEO: Groom Throws Ring at Bride After Ex-Boyfriend Crashes Ceremony with Pregnancy Claims
A bride’s secret pregnancy was exposed by her ex-boyfriend who crashed her wedding in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Saturday, July 9, 2023. The bride collapsed on the road after the groom threw his ring at her and left her in tears.
A video of the incident, obtained by The Eagle Online, showed the bride rolling on the ground and crying before she fainted.
The ex-boyfriend claimed that he impregnated the bride in Lagos State and she came to Ibadan to marry his friend. He also presented some text messages and pregnancy test results as proof of his claim.
The wedding ceremony was supposed to be a joyous occasion for the couple and their families, but it turned into a nightmare when the ex-boyfriend showed up uninvited and blocked their car with his own vehicle.
He confronted the bride and accused her of cheating on him with his friend, whom she was marrying that day. He said he had evidence that she was carrying his child and he wanted her back.
The groom was stunned and furious by this allegation. He asked the bride if it was true and she admitted that she had a relationship with the ex-boyfriend in Lagos State before she met him.
She said she broke up with him when she moved to Ibadan and fell in love with him. She said she did not know she was pregnant and she never meant to hurt him.
The groom did not believe her words. He felt betrayed and humiliated by her deception. He took off his ring and threw it at her face, saying he did not want to have anything to do with her anymore. He cursed her and called her names, saying she was a liar and a cheat. He said he would annul the marriage and forget about her.
The bride was devastated by his rejection. She pleaded with him to forgive her and give her another chance. She said she loved him more than anything and she was sorry for what she did. She tried to explain that the ex-boyfriend was lying and trying to ruin their happiness. She said he was obsessed with her and he did not want to let her go.
But the groom did not listen to her pleas. He got into his car and drove away with his family and friends, leaving her alone on the road. The bride’s family and friends also deserted her and blamed her for bringing disgrace to them. They said she had tarnished their reputation and they wanted nothing to do with her.
The bride was left alone on the road, crying and fainting. Some passersby tried to help her and took her to a nearby hospital. Her condition is unknown at the moment.
This is a very sad and unfortunate incident that has gone viral on social media. Many people have expressed their sympathy for the groom and their condemnation for the bride.
