One of the victims who were shot by some political thugs on saturday in Ikere-Ekiti, the home town of the honorable speaker of ekiti state house of assembly, during the local government election in the state, Ayeni Olumide Salvation has revealed on sick bed who sent the thugs to shoot him and others.
Salvation, the popular Facebook comedian and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP said “the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Funminyi Afuye leads thugs to shoot us just because he want his blood brother to become a Councillor “

Newsflash247 had earlier reported that there was tension in the second largest city of Ekiti State, Ikere Ekiti, where one was reportedly killed on Saturday, December 7, Local Government election in the state
The main opposition party in the state, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP contested against the candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress in all the 16 local government areas of the state.
The election was marred by violence at some polling units in Ikere Ekiti where one person called Dotun Koseedake was shot dead in Oke’kere area of the town.
According to the report, the popular Facebook comedian, Ayeni Olumide Salvation sustained serious injuries.
Also, Ifaki Ekiti in Ido Osi local government where the candidates of the PDP was attacked by APC thugs who gave those of the ruling APC a serious contest.
Newsflash247 gathered that Kayode Babalola, the Councillor Candidate of PDP, in Ifaki Ward 2 was attacked at his polling unit.
The presence of policemen and other security operatives in the town prevented the situation from degenerating.
Meanwhile, Former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State Prof Kolapo Olusola Eleka on Sunday morning commensurate with the family of Deceased Dotun Koseedake in his family house, who was killed on Saturday December 7 by political thugs in entourage of APC Chieftain in the town on the day of Local Government Election at Are/Araromi/Ayetoro ward, A.U.D Primary School Araromi Ikere Ekiti Unit.
