Lagos Coronavirus rises to 1,933 as records 51 new cases

Lagos State on Wednesday night, May 13, has recorded another 51 new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the state to 1,933 and 33 deaths.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Wednesday night, on its official Twitter account, saying Lagos had 51 new cases of the COVID-19.

The centre also said that the deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the state rise to 33.

As of Thursday morning, 14th of May 2020, 51 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Lagos State. Till date, 1933 cases have been confirmed, 502 cases have been discharged and 33 deaths have been recorded in the state.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Wednesday night has recorded another 184 new cases of Covid-19 and 6 deaths in twenty-one (21) states as well as Abuja, the country capital, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 4971 and 164 deaths.

NCDC said “184 new cases of #COVID19; 51-Lagos 23-Jigawa 16-Bauchi 16-Katsina 14-Kano 10-FCT 10-Rivers 9-Kwara 5-Delta 5-Kaduna 4-Sokoto 4-Oyo 3-Kebbi 3-Nasarawa 3-Osun 2-Ondo 1-Ebonyi 1-Edo 1-Enugu 1-Anambra 1-Plateau 1-Niger.

In globally, as of Thursday morning, May 14, 2020, till date, 4,350,000 (4.35M) cases have been confirmed, 1, 550,000 (1.55M) cases have been discharged and 297,000 deaths have been recorded in the world.
