Ganduje Meets Buhari On Emir Sanusi’s Probe, Gorilla’s N6.8M Scandal

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has disclosed that discussions were still ongoing to resolve the crisis between the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Lamido Sanusi II and the state government.

Ganduje made the disclosure while addressing State House correspondents after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday.

He also dismissed reports that Gorilla swallowed N6.8 million from Kano zoo.

According to Ganduje: “There was no gorilla in the zoo.”

“Preliminary investigation has revealed that the missing money in the zoo was a case of armed robbery.”

Recall that BBC Pidgin had last week reported that a finance officer from the Kano Zoological gardens claimed that “a huge gorilla” sneaked into their office to “swallow” the money.

However, the Managing Director of the zoo, Mallam Umar Yusif Umar dismissed the report, stressing that the money was stolen by burglars and not gorilla.
