#Kogi Decides: Live Results from collation centre between Dino Melaye, Smart Adeyemi

The Results have started coming in from the Kogi West senatorial district in the battle between Senators Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Smart Adeyemi of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Melaye and Adeyemi are engaged in a fresh battle of who occupies the Kogi West senatorial district after the former, who is the sitting lawmaker lost in court.

The Court of Appeal declared the seat vacant when it upheld the decision of the Tribunal, which had earlier sacked Dino Melaye.

Melaye is running on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while Adeyemi is carrying the APC’s flag.

The Court of Appeal agreed with the tribunal, which ordered a fresh election in Kogi West Senatorial District.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, fixed a fresh election for Saturday Nov. 16.
