Boko Haram bomb blast in Maiduguri, many wounded

Reports from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, said a powerful explosion was heard around Muna garage.

Kabiru Shettima, a resident, who spoke to our correspondent on phone, said those who survived the blast were being taken to the hospital in tricycles popularly called Keke Napep.

“I don’t know the number of casualties, but I saw people being carried inside Keke Napep. I believe they are the wounded”, he said.

Asked if he noticed any corpse, the witness said he only saw wounded persons as he was not at the exact location the bomb exploded.
