Chelsea fan collapses, dies at a viewing centre in Enugu after FA Cup defeat

A Chelsea fan named Osondu, has reportedly collapsed and died on Saturday at a viewing centre in Enugu; following Chelsea’s defeat by Leicester in Saturdays FA Cup finals at Wembley Stadium, England.

Newsflash Nigeria had reported that Leicester City on Saturday had defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the final of the FA Cup at the Wembley Stadium.

The Leicester City won the FA Cup for the first time in five attempts, since they first appeared in the final in 1969.

Leicester City Nigerian duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, also they made history on Saturday and joined Daniel Amokachi, Celestine Babayaro, Nwankwo Kanu, John Utaka, Mikel Obi, Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses as Nigerian footballers who have won football’s oldest competition.

But a Chelsea fan in Enugu State has been confirmed dead after following Chelsea’s defeat by Leicester in Saturdays FA Cup finals at Wembley

The deceased simply identified as Osondu reportedly slumped as the FA trophy was being handed over to rivals Leicester City.

The young fan in his early 30’s has joined other soccer enthusiasts to watch the FA Cup finals at a viewing centre located along Nzekwe Street Asata Enugu.

He was immediately rushed to the Parklane Hospital, Enugu where he later died.
