Gunmen Kill Four In A Fresh Attack In Southern Kaduna

Gunmen last night beat the fortified security arrangements in Kaduna state and killed four persons in a swift attack in Southern Kaduna area.

A prominent community leader in the area who pleaded for anonymity told our correspondents, that the gunmen carried out the attack at Ungwan Mailafiya In Jema’a Local Government Area.

According to the source, the killings in Southern Kaduna is purely a handiwork of some forces who are working to ensure the ugly bloodshed of the past resurfaced for reasons best known to the forces.

“They are carefully studying the terrain since security agencies have blocked them in all angles hence they resort to soft targets in Ungwan Mailafiya and killed four innocent people and injured many.

“It’s the same thing they did on Friday in Nindem and now on Christmas eve in Ungwan Mailafiya. It’s to cause confusion and deepen the crisis.

“We hope government and security agencies will sustain the tempo of their vigilance and approach and not give up no matter the unseen conspiracies.”

The military and the Kaduna state government are yet to react on the developing story.
