Ekiti Guber Election: It is not Over, until it’s over – Olusola assure supporters

The Former Ekiti State Deputy Governor and the Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) In the July 2018 Governorship election in Ekiti State, Prof Kolapo Olusola on Thursday placed academic brilliance (profession) above any political ambition.

Prof. Olusola while supervising an uncompleted building and its environment somewhere in his country home, Ikere speaks about his mission and vision for Ekiti if declared winner of the July 14 Gubernatorial poll in the State at the apex court.

“My leadership is offering a new Ekiti where opportunities abound for everyone. We will build a new State where what is available to the rich is accessible to the poor.

l have a solid background in the academic environment where we are taught to be diligent, focused and selfless. I believe these are qualities that have helped me greatly even in politics. Here l have learnt to observe things painstakingly, l have learnt to be patient and look at things thoroughly. These are attributes that are already inbuilt right from the academic environment.

He explained that his SHIELD agenda focuses on sustainable human development, robust healthcare and ICT-compliant system of education among others.

Prof. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, had earlier rejected the judgment of the Court of Appeal in a suit he instituted to challenge the victory of Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

He has challenged the Court of Appeal judgment affirming Fayemi as the duly elected governor of Ekiti state at the Supreme Court.

He expressed regrets at the manner in which the Appeal Court dismissed his appeal, saying it suggested that “our democracy is endangered.’’

“The judiciary is being gagged and justices are constantly being molested and persecuted,” he said.

He assured his followers, party and the people of Ekiti that his legal team would study the Appeal Court judgment and take necessary actions.

He expressed optimism that justice would be served in the end.

He commended the people of the state for the hope and confidence reposed in him, assuring them of victory eventually.

“Let us remain prayerful, it is not over, until it’s over. I have hope in the judiciary and I strongly believe that in the end, justice will be served, ” he said.
