Obaseki and Oshiomhole stood together after the presidential policy retreat at the presidential villa Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, have met at the presidential villa, Abuja.

The duo, who have been at loggerheads in recent times, shook hands at the presidential villa on Wednesday, July 24. The reason the duo have been at loggerhead is due to an ongoing crisis rocking the Edo state House of Assembly.

Newsflash247 reports, the governor is being supported by a faction of the assembly, while other members are on the side of Oshiomhole.

Newsflash247 gathers that the duo were joined by billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, the chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state.

We, however, cannot confirm whether the rift between Governor Obaseki and Oshiomhole is over or more war of words are in the offing.

Meanwhile, Newsflash247 previously reported that Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki said the crisis rocking the state House of Assembly was because he refused to share public funds with some self-styled godfathers.

The governor, addressing a Benin delegation that visited his Abuja home, said the crisis that trailed the inauguration of the state assembly was largely based on the fact that some people, who claimed to have brought him to power wanted to administer the state government affairs.

He, however, vowed that Edo would not be allowed to ”be a pawn in anybody’s political chess game.
