PHOTOS: Newly wedded couple celebrates honeymoon on terrible road

Bad roads in Nigeria make up some of the many challenges that is experienced in different parts of country, and while some resourceful individuals take it upon themselves to construct some inner city roads, the major roads remain an eye sore.

To create awareness on the poor condition of the major road in Nigeria, the newly wedded couple decided to celebrate their Honeymoon by taking photos of themselves on the bad road.

A couple has become viral sensation after they were spotted in bed in the middle of a terrible road in Ohi-Orogwe, Owerri in Imo State.

A couple chose to call attention to the poor state of a road in their state by staging their honeymoon there.

The pair got a bed and placed it in the middle of the terrible Ohi-Orogwe road in Imo state.

In one of the photos, the man is seen carrying his woman, while standing ankle-deep in mud.

In another, the man is pictured serving the woman breakfast in bed in the middle of the bad road.

The couple also laid on the bed decorated with rose petals.

This comes just months after 3 friends set up a table with chairs to drink beer on the same road, while calling the attention of the government to its poor state.

The friends took off their footwears and the lady in their midst rolled up her trousers as they sat in the middle of the road, their feet dirty with mud.

Passers-by are seen looking at the friends inquisitively.

They shared the photos online while calling for an end to bad governance.

“I had am amazing time with my friends today, but honestly people are suffering here,” the caption on the photo reads, adding, “At this point I think it’s high time we voice out concerning the way things seems to be going in terms of governance.”

So far, nothing has been done.
