Ekiti Election: Accord Party Replaced Ilesanmi For The Ex-Deputy Gov As Governorship Candidate

The candidate of Accord Party(A) for the July 14 governorship election in Ekiti State, Mrs Margaret Anike Ilesanmi has been replaced by the former deputy governor of Ekiti State, Surveryor Abiodun Aluko.

Aluko was defeated by Dr Balogun Sunday in the primary election under the platform of Mega Party of Nigeria,MPN, on Saturday, May 12 where Balogun Sunday polled 191 to defeat Abiodun Aluko who polled 146 and Dr Bode Olowoporuku Scored 71 votes.

Both Aluko and Olowoporoku moved to another party to contest the governorship election.

Aluko hails from Ikere Ekiti in Ikere Local government Area, the same town of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Professor Kolapo Olusola.

Aluko said, In every storm, either a lesson is learnt or an opportunity for God to reposition his people. God, in his understanding, he promotes people with much unwary hearts to remain so focus and determine while establishing and keeping His promises for those who think he is merciful on to.

“I want to seize this great opportunity to appreciate all the Hope Alive supporters in all our political agitations. It is required to break a rock to get a very clean water. All our political leaders, party members, the traditional councils, the youths and the stakeholders in Ekiti constituencies are appreciated”.

“This, I have to let you know, I want the best for Ekiti and I am optimistic of offering the best platform for Ekiti to be relieved of their current economic hardship and political bondage”.
“I have prepared to lead Ekiti State beyond its present status and give priority to the people’s aspirations and yearnings at a given period of time”.

“Ekiti affairs must be made to suit the existence of the people and other neighboring states. Its name must be repositioned well among the comity of states across the nation”.

“I am from Ikere local government and I was once a Deputy Governor of Ekiti and leader with passion and love for his people irrespective of the political class or ideologies and my achievement is there for physical and psychological assessments”.

“I want to specifically thank those whose messages have given me strength, visits have inspired my spirit, present have restored back our hopes and mistake have paved ways for us to move ahead in progress. May God bless u all”.

“My good people of Ekiti, many attempts have been made unethically by the enemies of our dear state to crumb the great vision that I had long ago by unpatriotically denied me a platform to showcase my interest to offer the best service to this state but God in his majesty has put them behind us and , have been put into shame”.

“Our new political platform is now Accord Party, our victory is certain as elected Governor by July, 14 2018”.
