A Policeman yet-to-be-identified has reportedly shot his wife dead for allegedly opting out of the union.
The man who lived with his Prison Warden wife inside Prison Barracks on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, was said to have shot himself afterwards.
It was gathered that the incident occurred Sunday night during a fight in their flat.
Officials were said to have evacuated the bodies just as most occupants of the building fled for fear of arrest.
Meanwhile, Newsflash247 had earlier reported that unknown gunmen has reportedly kidnapped Police Inspector and two others in Rubochi community in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
It was gathered the persons were kidnapped around midnight on Sunday, by gunmen who stormed the community shooting sporadically.
In the same community, the younger brother to a former Chairman of Kuje Area Council, identified as Mohammed Galadima, was also abducted just a couple of days earlier.
A source who did not want to be named said the incident happened early around 2am on Friday, as the gunmen gained access to Galadima’s compound by jumping over the fence and picking him right in his house.
It was gathered the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N10 million.
When contacted, the deputy spokesperson, Federal Capital Territory Police Command, ASP Mariam Yusuf, said she would get back to our reporter when she gets details.
The seeming worsening state of insecurity situation has heightened the feeling of apprehension in the FCT.
