BREAKING: Nigeria records 241 new cases of Coronavirus, total now 10,819

Nigeria on Tuesday night, June 2, has recorded another 241 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and fifteen (15) deaths in thirteen (13) states as well as the country’s capital, Abuja, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 10,819 and 314 deaths.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Tuesday night, on its official Twitter account.

The new cases are spread across Lagos, Oyo, Kano, Edo, Delta, Kaduna, Rivers, Borno, Jigawa, Gombe, Plateau, Osun and Bauchi States as well as Abuja, the country’s capital.

The centre also said that fifteen (15) deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 314.

NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 3239 patients were discharged.

According to the NCDC, “142 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 15 in Oyo, 13 in the Federal Capital Territory, 12 in Kano, 11 in Edo, 10 in Delta, 9 in Rivers, 8 in Borno.

It also revealed that four cases recorded in Jigawa, three each cases were recorded in Gombe and Plateau States, one case each also recorded in Osun and Bauchi States.
