Nigeria on Sunday night, May 10, has recorded another 248 new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and 15 deaths in sixteen (16) states as well as Abuja, the country capital, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 4399 and 143 deaths.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Sunday night, on its official Twitter account.

The new cases are spread across Lagos, Kano, Jigawa, Borno, Bauchi, Ogun, Edo, Osun, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kwara, Kebbi, Bayelsa, Gombe, Taraba and Ekiti States as well as country capital, Abuja.

The centre also said that fifteen (15) person deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 143.

NCDC said “248 new cases of #COVID19; 81-Lagos 35-Jigawa 26-Borno 26-Kano 20-Bauchi 13-FCT 12-Edo 10-Sokoto 7-Zamfara 4-Kwara 4-Kebbi 2-Gombe 2-Taraba 2-Ogun 2-Ekiti 1-Osun 1-Bayelsa.
