BREAKING: NCDC records 389 new cases of Coronavirus as Nigeria rises to 8733

The centre also said that five deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 254.

Nigeria on Wednesday night, May 27, has recorded another 389 new cases of Covid-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and five (5) deaths in twenty-two (22) states, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 8733 and 254 deaths.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Wednesday night, on its official Twitter account.

The new cases are spread across Lagos, Katsina, Edo, Rivers, Kano, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Gombe, Plateau, Abia, Delta, Benue, Niger, Kogi, Oyo, Imo, Borno, Ogun and Anambra States.

The centre also said that five deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 254.

NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 2,501 patients were discharged.

According to the NCDC,  “256 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 23 in Kastina, 22 in Edo, 14 in Rivers, 13 in Kano, 11 in Adamawa, 11 in Akwa-Ibom, 7 in Kaduna, 6 in Kwara, 6 in Nasarawa.

It also revealed that two cases each were recorded in Gombe, Plateau, Abia, Delta,Benue, Niger, Kogi and Oyo States, one each case recorded Imo,Borno, Ogun and Anambra States.
