BREAKING: NCDC records 182 new cases of COVID-19 as Nigeria rises to 8915

The new cases are spread across Lagos, Akwa-Ibom, Oyo, Kaduna, Delta, Rivers, Ogun, Ebonyi, Kano, Plateau, Gombe, Kebbi, Kwara, Bauchi, and Borno States as well as Abuja, the country’s capital.

Nigeria on Thursday night, May 28, has recorded another 182 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus and five (5) deaths in fifteen (15) states as well as the country’s capital, Abuja, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 8915 and 259 deaths.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made the announcement on Thursday night, on its official Twitter account.

The new cases are spread across Lagos, Akwa-Ibom, Oyo, Kaduna, Delta, Rivers, Ogun, Ebonyi, Kano, Plateau, Gombe, Kebbi, Kwara, Bauchi, and Borno States as well as Abuja, the country’s capital.

The centre also said that five deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 259.

NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 2,592 patients were discharged.

According to the NCDC, “111 new cases were recorded in Lagos, 16 in the Federal Capital Territory, 10 in Akwa-Ibom, 8 in Oyo, 6 in Kaduna, 6 in Delta, 5 in Rivers.

It also revealed that four cases each were recorded in Ogun and Ebonyi States, three in Kano, two each cases recorded in Plateau, Kwara and Gombe States while one each case recorded Kebbi, Bauchi and Borno States.
