BREAKING: Gunmen Killed LG Director in Ekiti

Newsflash247 gathered that the senior officer was killed at about 1am at his residence in Igirigiri Ado Ekiti, the State capital.

In the early hours of Monday, unknown gunmen reportedly assassinated a director in the Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission, Mr David Jejelowo, Newsflash247 reports.

But reporter could not ascertain how and why he was killed as at the time of this report.

The incident was said to have thrown the whole community into palpable calm and shock.

When contacted, the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sunday Abutu confirmed the killing noting that investigation was on to unravel the details behind the dastardly act.

He promises to give more information about the incident to journalists soon.

Recall that, the late Jejelowo was a victim of kidnapping in January this year.

He was abducted alongside his driver on the Ado-Ijan Road before they were later released after series of negotiations for ransom with the kidnappers.
