Why I Left PDP for APC, by Rivers Assembly Member

Enemi Alabo, a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, has revealed the reasons behind his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Alabo was one of the PDP lawmakers who recently switched allegiance to the ruling party.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Alabo said that he left the PDP because of the internal crisis that rocked the party in Rivers State.

He said that the party’s leadership was unclear and disputed, and that the PDP members in the state faced various difficulties, such as the arson attack on the assembly chambers and the harassment by security agents.

He also said that he was frustrated by the lack of communication with the party’s secretariat, which he said was embroiled in legal battles.

He said that he did not know who the secretary of his party was, and that he could not reach the party’s officials.

“I have a division in the PDP. There are cases in court about the secretariat of our party.

“I tried to contact the secretariat of our party, but I failed. As I talk to you, I don’t know who the secretary of my party is,” the lawmaker said.
