26 Burnt To Dead, Many Injuries As Fuel Tanker Explodes In Benue

Several persons were on Monday burnt beyond recognition and many vehicles destroyed in a tanker explosion that occurred in Benue State.

The incident, Newsflash247 gathered happened along Ahumbe-Makurdi road.

An eyewitness said the petroleum-laden tanker fell and spilled its content on the road.

However, some villagers, who had arrived the scene to scoop the product got more than they bargained for as the tanker went up in flames.

A source said over 26 persons burnt while several others were injured.
