2023 Presidency: Dogara dumps PDP again, returns to APC

Source disclosed that Dogara likely to contest for the 2023 presidential election

A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has again dumped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Chairman of the APC caretaker committee, Mai Mala Buni, disclosed this to State House correspondents after leading Dogara to a meeting with the President, Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

“He is now a member of the APC,” Buni told journalists after the meeting.

Source disclosed that Dogara likely to contest for the 2023 presidential election.

Dogara, according to the report, will address the public later.

The former Speaker had in 2018 dumped the APC for the PDP after having political confrontation for about two years with the former governor of Bauchi State, Mohammed Abubakar.

He recently headed a screening panel of the PDP for the Ondo State governorship election.
