I was denied entry into Cote D’Ivoire – Man riding bike from London to Lagos

The Nigerian tourist man who embarked on a bike ride from London, the United Kingdom to Lagos, Kunle Adeyanju, has been denied entry into Cote D’Ivoire.

Adeyanju disclosed this on his Twitter page handle and revealed that he was denied entry into Cote D’Ivoire.

In an update shared via his Twitter page on Sunday, the adventurer alleged that he was refused entry at the border despite travelling 400 km to get there.

Adeyanju did not disclose why he was not allowed into the West African nation.

He also said authorities at the Nigerian embassy are already addressing the issue.

“Denied entry into Cote D’Ivoire, had to turn back….. Sad! Nigerian embassies on it,” he wrote.

“Hard day! Just got back. After riding 400km to the border, denied entry, because I refused to…. Sad! As often said ‘there are a thousand and one ways to go round Egypt’ Egypt here denoting a challenge. We will solve the challenge and get back on course!”

Adeyanju had earlier said the bike trip was to help raise funds toward sustaining Africa’s polio-free status. He also disclosed that his target is to raise the sum of N20 million.

The bike rider started the journey, which is expected to take 25 days, on April 19.
