Shehu Sani, the senator representing Kaduna Central has reacted to the recent threat by Segun Oni, a former governorship aspirant in Ekiti State to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) if members of his political family are intimidated by any caucus.
Oni, who was the first runner-up in the Ekiti APC primary made the statement on the grounds that his supporters were receiving threats from other camps.
Reacting, Sani in a tweet on Wednesday recalled that Oni had months ago mediated in peace efforts on behalf of the APC in Kaduna.
According to him, Oni’s complaint against victimization and injustice towards him in his state was a case of ‘fire in the fire man’s house’.
His tweet read “Disrespect, victimisation may force us out of APC, Oni declares; months ago, Mr Oni was officially sent to Kaduna by the Broom ‘to make or restore peace’ among its members.
“Today, Mr Oni is complaining about victimisation and injustice against him in his state by the Broom. Fire in the Fireman’s house.”
